
Francis Mitchell is the Chief Financial Officer of Hatch Bank, where he supports the Bank’s financial and strategic objectives with a focus on balance sheet strategy, liquidity, and financial operations. He has held senior leadership roles across a range of depository institutions and brings deep experience in asset-liability management, liquidity strategy, and regulatory matters.
Francis began his career in institutional fixed income trading and portfolio management at Vanguard and TD Bank, focusing on structured products, credit underwriting, and financial modeling. He later held senior roles at Webster Bank, Truist Securities, Republic Bank, and other institutions, ranging from Head of Strategic Finance to Chief Financial Officer. Across operating and advisory roles, he has supported regional and community banks in designing and executing strategic plans and optimizing balance sheet positioning.
He holds degrees from Drexel University (BS Engineering), University of São Paulo (MBA), and Temple University (MS Financial Engineering), and also holds multiple FINRA securities licenses. Francis has spoken at a variety of industry conferences, including ABS East and West, on topics spanning structured products, liquidity, and balance sheet management.
